While my son was balancing on the skateboard for the first time, he asked me, "ma, how do i move forward?", I said, bend your body, like you sit and that should push the skateboard forward, and that worked. Reminded me of the time I tried to fly a kite, it wasn't really going high, the best advise i got was to pull it back fast, and then let it go, voila! it flew high and kissed the clouds. In order to get the maximum stretch, you have to loosen your body in yoga. Nature's catapult law, pull back to move forward.

Monitored free play

Come evening, children are send to the play area and sandpit for free play, but bored mothers soon start making sure that the time is spent constructively. They start making geometric patterns of triangles and circle and encourage toddlers recognize and to do the same (toddlers try to keep some distance from such moms). Older kids are hawk watched- what the child does, says, etc and constantly reprimanded every ten seconds.Quite a few kids accompanied by a maid, and totally abide by her will, usually confined to a corner where maid and her friends can gossip for hours, such kids operate on mute, non messy,solo, non kinetic kinda play. So much for free play time.

Bankers Don't Believe in Loans

Met an banker who had been assigned to process my home loan, and during the conversation mentioned he has 3 properties, so I asked, 'did you get a special rate from your bank?' He said he hasn't and will never take loan from a bank, its too expensive.

Masterchef fans don't cook

In a quick survey done among peers, it came up that they all love to watch cookery shows, Masterchef, Racheal ray, Nigella Lawson, love bites with joey to name a few... But all of them have hired cooks for daily cooking.... As a result, one of the biggest Masterchef fan that I have recently met asked me in all her innocence, "Where can I buy sugar syrup? I can't find it in normal grocery stores, and I am unable to make cocktails because of it." Sigh!

Just got exposed to a lot of Latin music.Listening to a Cuban song (link at the bottom), thanks to my Zumba classes. And just dawned on me music this way is pure and I can completely focus on the rhythm and not rack my brain on the words and what they mean...
